But most liberal communities (including ours) rarely read or retell the penultimate chapter of the megillah. Join Rabbi Rachel for a text study of that final chapter alongside some of our tradition’s commentaries as we delve into the deep spiritual question of what this text can teach us and how we choose to relate to it today.

We’ll participate in a spirited retelling of the megillah of Esther and wrap up the evening with homemade hamentaschen and other sweet treats!

Congregation Beth Israel 53 Lois Street, North Adams, MA, United StatesJoin us on Shabbat morning as we celebrate Shabbat with prayer, song, and poetry. We'll hear some words of Torah (and some words about Torah) as we bask in Shabbat's sweetness. Our spiritual tools include traditional liturgy, contemporary poetry, chant, and song… as well as the spectacular views from our sanctuary, which connect us with the natural world and with our Source.
