When we think of Purim we may think of Esther and Mordechai, court intrigue, and graggers drowning out the name of the wicked Haman. But most liberal communities (including ours) rarely read or retell the penultimate chapter of the megillah, often described as the revenge fantasy of an oppressed people, in which the Jews of Persia take up arms.
