Celebrate the sweetness of the Jewish New Year at the Bennington Community Market! We’ll bake delicious apple cake using freshly picked, local apples before heading outdoors to the farmer’s market to share the spirit of Rosh Hashanah with others by offering samples of our homemade apple cake and filling the air with joyful Rosh Hashanah and Shabbat melodies at the mic. All ages welcome!
Please join us for our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah service, led by Rabbi Rachel Barenblat with support from CBI musicians and choir. All are welcome! Expect poetry, prayer, harmony, melodies both traditional and contemporary, and an introduction to this year’s high holiday theme.

Join us for a contemplative, chant-based service led by Rabbi Rachel Barenblat. On this “Shabbat of Return” between the two holidays, our service will feature an even more stripped-down liturgy and a lot of opportunity for sacred silence. All are welcome!
Join us for Kol Nidre evening service, led by Rabbi Rachel Barenblat with support from the CBI choir and community musicians. Please plan to arrive by 5:50pm, as our service will begin promptly at 6pm so that the singing of Kol Nidre takes place before sundown. Yizkor candles will be available to light prior to the start of the evening's service. Please note that onsite parking for this service will be limited.
Please join us for our annual Yom Kippur morning service, led by Rabbi Rachel Barenblat and Rabbi Jarah Greenfield, with support from community musicians and choir. Join us as we delve into re-living ancient rituals, hearing the Yom Kippur afternoon Torah reading and its powerful themes of loving our neighbor as we love ourselves, and experiencing the Book of Jonah in a creative new way. All are welcome!
Our final service of the day will take place in the small sanctuary with lights turned off so we can feel the increasing urgency of our prayers as the sky begins to dim. There will be an opportunity for each of us to stand before the open Ark and whisper whatever we most need to say. All are welcome!
