    Join the CBI community and Rabbi Rachel in your favorite costume as we re-enact the Purim story, drown out the name of Haman, and rejoice in the “light and honor” the megillah promises will be our people’s future. We’ll participate in a spirited retelling of the megillah of Esther and wrap up the evening with homemade hamentaschen and other sweet treats!

    REMINDER: If you would like to join us this year for our annual Second Night Community Passover Seder on Thursday, April 2 at 6pm, you must register by no later than Saturday, March 28, 2026. To purchase tickets prior to the deadline, please do so via our website at cbiberkshires.com/event/passover-2026 or bit.ly/passover5786. Please contact the CBI office as soon as possible if you have any questions. As this is a catered event, we will not able to accommodate late RSVPs or walk-ins.     Green Up Day

    Join us in Bennington for Green Up Day! Vermonters participate every year on the first weekend in May to help clean up our community. We will gather together and learn about the Jewish values around taking care of our earth, then head outside for an hour to clean up trash together.

    Shabbat Across the Berkshires

    Join with friends from across the Berkshire Jewish community at Temple Anshe Amunim in Pittsfield as we come together for a musical, family-friendly Shabbat service led by rabbis from across the county, then stay for a delicious, festive oneg. All are welcome to attend this service; please RSVP in advance if you plan to attend the oneg. This event is co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires, Congregation Beth Israel, and other Berkshire county synagogues and organizations.

    Mitzvah Meal

    By popular request, we are planning to prepare and distribute another Mitzvah Meal in Bennington, VT! We'll prepare a side dish and desert together from 2pm–4:30pm and help to serve meals for 100 people from 4:30pm–5:30pm.     Remembrance Circle

    Join us for a ritual of remembrance as we process the tremendous loss of a child in our community. Rabbi Rachel and Rabbi Jarah will lead the community in song, silence, and guided opportunities to process our thoughts and feelings suitable both for children and for adults. We’ll also have the opportunity to paint rocks in loving remembrance, to be brought to the CBI cemetery next month.

    Join CBI this summer for a potluck picnic with family-friendly activities on the lawn at 12pm and live music at 2:30pm featuring the BSO & Tanglewood Festival Chorus! Each person will need to purchase their own ticket in order to attend; lawn seats for this event are $44 per adult. Please RSVP by no later than Friday, August 21.
