The Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is called Shabbat Shuvah — “The Shabbat of Return.” The high holiday season can feel full of words and liturgy. This Shabbat aims to balance that with holy quiet. This year we’ll return to our deepest selves with a gentle contemplative service featuring minimal liturgy, ample time to let our melodies soak in, and periods of holy silence to “seal” each chant. Mourner’s Kaddish will be recited in full.
Those who wish to attend onsite must RSVP via our website. For those who wish to join us online, we will provide a meaningful and robust experience via Zoom for digital participants. You do not need a printed book — words will be shown onscreen.
