Join us for a Healing Havdalah at 5pm on Saturday, March 2. We’ll begin with prayers for healing, for ourselves and for those whom we bring with us in heart and spirit. Then we’ll hear from CBI member Cindy Polinsky about her cancer journey, and about the graphic chapbook that she published (with lettering by CBI member Margaret Larabee and contributing local artist Brook Prestowitz!) as part of her journey. We’ll take some time to write or decorate postcards to people on our community’s mi sheberach / healing list. And then we’ll close with havdalah, the ritual that brings Shabbat to its close and sends us forth into the new week. To kick off the new week, we’ll enjoy cheese and crudités and an opportunity to purchase Cindy’s chapbook; proceeds go to Caring For a Cure, a cancer patient support organization. All are welcome!
