Join Rabbi Rachel Barenblat and CBI Community Musicians for a celebration of Simchat Torah (“Rejoicing in the Torah”), the culmination of our fall festival season! A short-and-sweet festival ma’ariv (evening service) will have as its centerpiece seven hakafot / circle dances with the Torah. We’ll also hear the very end of Torah followed by the very beginning of Torah, connecting the end of our sacred scroll with the new year’s new beginnings. We’ll partake in a potluck dinner during the event, so please bring a vegetarian / dairy dish to share (sign up here). Please RSVP online if your family plans on attending and indicate what dish you’ll bring; this service will be held onsite only.
This event is a partnership between Congregation Beth Israel & NEFESH, with major financial support from Sally Gottesman & the Harold Grinspoon Foundation as well as funding from other private donors.
