Relive the Exodus through ritual\, poetry\, song\, and story. We’ll savor familiar melodies\, stirring poetry\, an impromptu Exodus play put on by community kids\, and more. A full kosher-for-Pesach meal will be provided (with vegetarian option); bring your own kosher for Passover table wine if you would like something other than Manischewitz. \n\n☆ Tickets are $50/adult & $8/child (ages 5-18); children ages 4 & under are free. DESCRIPTION:Due to the impending snowstorm\, our Tu BiShvat Concert has been POSTPONED once more. Our concert will now be held on Sunday\, February 23 at 4:30pm. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused — thank you for understanding! \nCome celebrate the natural world with a musical journey through the four seasons\, following the progression of the Tu BiShvat seder from winter to spring to summer to fall. The CBI choir and instrumentalists will perform music spanning from the medieval period to the 21st century\, expressing the beauty of nature and the human emotions that we experience during each season. Composers who will be featured include Clément Janequin\, Antonio Vivaldi\, Paul Hindemith\, Samuel Barber\, and Naomi Shemer. Light refreshments featuring some of the symbolic fruit and nuts one eats during Tu BiShvat will follow the concert’s conclusion.

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate Chanukah with the CBI community! This year we’re celebrating indoors (no bonfire) due to regional wildfire risk\, but we’ll have just as much joy and music as in years past. We’ll share a homemade meal of pizza\, salad\, and sufganiyot. Activities will include a crafts station (make a gift for a friend\, or sit down with a family member to make a Chanukah craft project to display every year)\, a spirited song circle\, a dreidel spinning contest\, and a recipe swap for latkes / sufganiyot / other festive treats. If you have a beloved recipe\, project\, song or ritual item you’d like to share with others\, let us know by emailing Rabbi Jarah at learning@cbiberkshires.com. All ages and stages are welcome — adults and children\, grandparents\, empty nesters\, or child-free. \nWe are currently in need of thick cardboard tubes for one of our Chanukah projects! SUMMARY:Simchat Torah Shabbat Family Celebration & Dance Party
DESCRIPTION:Join Rabbi Rachel Barenblat and CBI Community Musicians for a celebration of Simchat Torah (“Rejoicing in the Torah”)\, the culmination of our fall festival season! A short-and-sweet festival ma’ariv (evening service) will have as its centerpiece seven hakafot / circle dances with the Torah. We’ll also hear the very end of Torah followed by the very beginning of Torah\, connecting the end of our sacred scroll with the new year’s new beginnings. We’ll partake in a potluck dinner during the event\, so please bring a vegetarian / dairy dish to share (sign up here). Please RSVP online if your family plans on attending and indicate what dish you’ll bring; this service will be held onsite only. \nThis event is a partnership between Congregation Beth Israel & NEFESH\, with major financial support from Sally Gottesman & the Harold Grinspoon Foundation as well as funding from other private donors.

We’ll share the prayers of the morning service\, including the praise-songs of Hallel.
